Our Classes
Group Swim Lessons
We are proud to partner with the American Red Cross to offer top-notch swimming lessons. Celebrating 100 years of promoting water safety, the Red Cross has been a trusted name in helping people stay safe in, on, and around water.
Swimming and water safety are essential lifelong skills. At the TriHealth Fitness & Health Pavilion, our lessons cover basic aquatic skills, stroke mechanics, headfirst entries, racing starts, turns, and dives. You'll also learn key principles to keep you and your loved ones safe in and around water.
Our group lessons provide individualized instruction tailored to each participant's skill level, whether child or adult. We offer certification instruction for ages 6 months through adulthood. Join us and gain the confidence and skills you need to enjoy the water safely!

Vaquita Whales– (Formally known as Aquababies) – Ages 6 months up to 3 years. Parent/child class working on water acclimation, safety, blowing bubbles, floating. Held in warm water pool for up to 9 children. 30-minutes.
Beluga Whales -(Formally known as Preschool) – Ages 3 years to 5 years of age. Basic water safety, acclimation, stroke development, floating. Held in the warm water pool with up to 6 children. 30-minutes.
Humpback Whales (Formally known as School Age) – Ages 6 years to 10 years of age. Basic water safety, stroke development including front crawl, back stroke, breaststroke, floating, sit dives. Held in both warm water and lap pool with up to 8 children. 45-minutes.
Whale Sharks – Ages 11 to 14 years. Focusing on stroke development, endurance, sit dives, water polo and swim team preparation. Held in the lap pool with up to 8 children. 45-minutes.
Adults – Ages 15 and up. Stroke development, floating, water safety, treading. Up to 6 adults held in warm water pool. 45-minutes.

McCullough-Hyde Infant Readiness and Childbirth Learning Experience

In cooperation with your physician or midwife, McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital offers McCullough-Hyde Infant Readiness and Childbirth Learning Experience (MIRACLE), a prenatal education program in which an Obstetrical Registered Nurse will meet with you once during pregnancy at no charge.
The visits will include guidelines for caring for yourself and your baby throughout the pregnancy, delivery, and after the delivery. We will:
- Tour the unit & learn about what to expect in Labor, Postpartum and Discharge
- Provide access to support services.
- Offer guidelines for nutrition.
- Discuss pain management options during labor.
- Discuss newborn feeding options.
- Provide extensive breastfeeding education and support by an IBCLC
- Discuss basic care of your newborn including Safe Sleep Education.
- Provide you with information on all of our perinatal programs.
In addition, we will help you complete preadmission forms and other necessary paperwork. This will allow you to spend quality time with your family before and after the birth of your child. Participation in the program will help you be informed and prepared during this exciting time.
Classes are offered the following days and times: Tuesdays: 10 a.m. & 4 p.m.; Thursdays: 1 p.m. (Other days & times available upon request.)

McCullough-Hyde Prenatal Massage
Massage is a safe, natural method of easing the discomforts of pregnancy – before, during and after delivery. Research shows that pregnant women who receive massage therapy have fewer obstetric and postnatal complications. Our massage therapists are licensed by the Ohio Medical Board with certification in prenatal and postpartum massage. Services are offered at the TriHealth Fitness & Health Pavilion and McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital. The Benefits of massage include:
- Promoting movement of blood and lymph, which helps your heart, and reduces swelling and fluid retention.
- Reducing pain and pressure to the nervous system, relieving strain on your back muscles
- Before delivery, re-energizing you and clearing your thoughts to focus on the experience ahead.
Prenatal Massage
Prior to massage, it is important that you speak with your health care provider to ensure that massage is appropriate for you and your pregnancy.
Postpartum Massage
Postpartum massage has a variety of benefits, including:
- Reducing musculoskeletal pain
- Decreasing postpartum depression
- Stimulating the uterus to return to its pre-pregnancy size and position
- Contributing to rehabilitation of abdominal skin, muscles and organs
- Stimulating chemicals in your body that improve breastfeeding
- Promoting structural realignment of your spine and pelvis

Mothers who have a medical condition or other special circumstances that prevent them from attending a regularly scheduled class can schedule one-on-one childbirth classes through the Childbirth Education Association. Bethesda TriHealth All-Day Childbirth - 10/25/25

The content of this one-day class is designed to prepare you for your labor and delivery. This course uses education material that is interactive and covers essential information on anatomy, labor, medical procedures, comfort techniques, newborns, postpartum and much more. The class discusses ways partners can help throughout the process. There are interactive activities in the class material, such as videos, animations, and much more. You’ll also get a sense of what labor is really like as you watch birth stories. You will also receive a maternity tour as part of this class. Lunch is not included.
Only register the expectant mother. She is encouraged to bring a birthing partner with her.

Do you want information about labor and delivery but are short on time? This class provides the information in a condensed format. In our interactive classes you will learn:
- Prenatal and infant nutrition
- How to know when you are in labor
- What will happen in the hospital?
- Comfort techniques to cope with labor and ways your coach can help.
- What your options are concerning medication and other interventions
- What you can expect after delivery for you and your baby
